Transfiguration Hike 2023

On Sunday August 6, parishioners of St. Lawrence made the annual hike to the observation deck in Henry Cowell State Park on the feast of Transfiguration. The Gospel of the feast was read and the faithful sang the Troparion of the Transfiguration as the local "high" point was blessed with Holy Water. Everyone then enjoyed a sack lunch atop the observation deck with fruit that had been blessed at the Liturgy that morning.
